Security and privacy risk estimation for personal data stored on mobile devices aposteriori statistical approach to risk estimation

This paper is concerned with existing and emerging problems on providing security and privacy of personal data on mobile devices. We consider various classifications of mobile devices, software services associated with them and the types of user behavior regarding the involved security risks of unauthorized access to the data stored both locally and remotely. We also categorize potential threats that originate from compromised data of different classes. Based on provided categorization we discuss the means to generalize typical user patterns and evaluate the corresponding vulnerability level.
