Analysis of Cosmic Dust Attack in Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV) Protocol

The cosmic dust attack problem is one of the security attacks that occur in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET). MANET is one of the unpredictable networks. It has lot of challenges like Cosmic Dust attack, Black Hole Attack, etc. The main objective of this paper is to examine Cosmic Dust attack in MANET over AODV routing protocol. For a secure MANET in unfriendly environments, particularly challenging problems can be combined into existing routing protocols for MANETs, such as Ad hoc on demand Distance Vector routing (AODV). The simulation result has been demonstrated using OMNeT++.
