Reverberation chambers for flexible over-the-air testing of internet-of-things devices

The reverberation chamber is an accurate and frequently used tool for over-the-air testing of wireless devices. One main benefit of this method is the flexibility of the test volume, given the uniform field emulated within the chamber. This characteristic becomes even more important for the emerging test requirements of Internet-of-Things devices, which may have very different form factors compared to traditional devices. In this investigation the total radiated power and total isotropic sensitivity are measured for three models of Bluetooth devices. The measurements are repeated in three different reverberation chamber setups with very different sizes, with the aim to investigate if aligned results can be obtained.
