Design of circular array of circular subarrays for scannable pattern using rotational symmetry

This paper presents a design of fractal antenna array based in circular arrays of circular subarrays for scannable pattern using rotational symmetry properties for a maximum performance in terms of side lobe level (SLL), directivity (DIR) and dynamic range ratio (DRR). The performance of the fractal antenna array optimized is compared with respect to the cases of uniform amplitude excitation and the Taylor amplitude distribution using conventional progressive phase for the same array geometry.
