On the vircator peak power optimization

This paper presents a model aimed at calculating the peak power generated by an axial Virtual Cathode Oscillators. The model combines the Larmor's Formula and one-dimensional computational simulations in order to obtain the value of the charge accumulated in the virtual cathode and its acceleration. The proposed model coincides with experimental results reported in the literature.
