Hybrid IDS using SVM classifier for detecting DoS attack in MANET application

Mobile ad hoc networks have become a very popular research topic. By providing communications in the absence of a fixed infrastructure MANETs are becoming vulnerable. Nowadays all the e-commerce applications are using Internet of things because of that most of the attackers can easily send the intruders and make network traffic easily. MANET is severely affected by Denial of Service (DoS) attacks which becomes a problem for users of computer systems connected to the Internet. We proposed hybrid IDS with SVM classifier for getting very good results with less training time and also used signature and anomaly based methods to our proposed system in order to test the detection performance and conclude that the proposed hybrid system gives better results and high accuracy.
