Circulatory parameter extraction from digital plethysmogram. 2. The application of parametric system identification methods

To develop the noninvasive measurement method of circulatory parameters by analyzing the waveforms of digital plethysmograms (DPTG), mathematical modeling of input (ventricular ejection)/output (observed DPTG waveforms) relations was performed. It is well known that human DPTG is chaotic. Among several parametric system identification methods, the BJ model sufficiently fitted the observed waveforms.
