EMG mapping-estimating dipole locations by Legendre polynomial derivatives

From surface potentials, location of active regions within a limb gets more difficult as their number increases. Solving the direct problem and fitting results with adequate functions (f/sub i/) can provide a simple solution to the inverse problem. Here, the number of active regions is found by using the second derivative of the signal while their position is obtained with a least square method and the inverse functions of f/sub i/.
