Guest Editorial: Special Issue on EPEC 2016

The IEEE Canada Electrical Power and Energy Conference (EPEC) 2016 was held in Ottawa from October 12 to 14, 2016 (see
https://www.epec2016.ieee.ca/
). This conference originated from a series of Electrical Power Symposia held in Ottawa annually from 2001 to 2006. Subsequently, the conference was held in other cities across Canada. The IEEE Ottawa Section organizers, including several of the original founders, were enthusiastic to host EPEC 2016 in Ottawa.
