Synthesis and characterisations of temperature-responsive drug delivery hydrogel for medical applications

The imiquimod-MEO
₂
MA hydrogel film was fabricated as a drug release pad for the keloid therapy in this research. The physiochemical properties of the synthesised MEO
₂
MA hydrogel, including swelling/deswelling behaviour and temperature response, were characterised to understand the loaded amount and released speed of the imiquimod. Similarly, the cytotoxicity of developed hydrogel pad was measured to understand the biological properties for the keloid therapy treatment.
