A joyful Kinect-based learning system

In this paper, a joyful Kinect-based learning system combining with game model and ARCS model is developed to learn the relevant knowledge of animals and enhance learning interest and learning outcomes of the learners. The system has the following characteristics: developing learning materials by combining joyful learning with ARCS model; guiding the learners to enjoy the joyful learning and generate interesting for the learning activity; Combining virtual objects with a real environment to provide the story-based learning situation for learners. In this study, and 60 adults from 20 to 25 years old are recruited as the study participant. In the experiment, the subjects are divided into a control group and an experimental group. To assess the proposed system, learning achievement is conducted. The experiment shows that the system can enhance learners' learning outcomes.
