Major developments are rarely the work of a single or a few individuals, rather there are many contributors to successful efforts. In a 30th anniversary retrospective of the Apollo lunar landing program, Apollo 8 Astronaut Frank Borman recalled his awe at accuracy of the prediction by mission planners of the precise time of the sun's appearance on the moon. Such contributors are destined to remain largely unknown and the same is true of the development of commercial utility power systems.
