Mathematical modelling of belt drying plants with several temperature zones

The paper refers to mathematical modelling of belt drying plants with several temperature zones. In general, drying plants have several temperature zones through which passes the material subjected to the drying process. Conveyor belt systems are commonly used in food and textile industry also in metallurgical and chemical plants or for coal preparation. Humidity of the conveyed material in the time moment when it leaves the conveyor must meet certain conditions. It depends on the residence time in each temperature zone called Vector Period (VP). The main idea proposed in this work is to consider the sitting duration of the material in each zone of the oven as components of the state vector. Such a system is described by State-Dependent Delay-Differential-Equation (SDDDE). Our SDDDE is also described by a system of integral equations. Now it is possible to express the whole model of belt drying plants with several temperature zones as cascade connection between AOSP = Abstract Object Speed Period and AOPH = Abstract Object Period Humidity. Using this integral description of the AOSP, the finite memory property is proved and other properties are also analysed.
