The impact of mobile processor cryptographic acceleration on data transfer

In this paper, the impact of the cryptographic acceleration in mobile processors on data transfer will be evaluated. As mobile systems are involved in every point of our lives, ensuring the communication and data security of these devices is becoming much more significant. In contradistinction to other traditional processors, processors used in mobile systems have limited energy and hardware resources. Therefore, while mobile processors are used in cryptographic calculations that require intensive processor time, problems can arise in terms of processing speed and energy. Recently, the features aiming to speed up the symmetric cryptography process have been used in new generation mobile processors in order to solve those challenges. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the effect of cryptographic acceleration on the performance of a new generation of mobile processors while using different symmetric cryptographic operations.
