Internet of Things Ecosystems: Unpacking Legal Relationships and Liabilities

This paper provides a survey of key legal questions arising from the development of Internet of Things ecosystems. We analyse in particular the types of relationships and liabilities that are likely to emerge as Internet of Things ecosystems evolve and we consider implications for both organisations and individuals by reference to specific legal and regulatory considerations. In terms of jurisdictional scope, our main focus is the EU but we also provide examples from other parts of the world.
