Reverse operation self-consistent evaluation applied to IE-DDM with phase extracted basis function

An integral equation with non-conformal and non-overlapping domain decomposition method has aroused wide interest in the engineering community. The contribution of this paper is twofold: (I) In the framework of IE-DDM, phase-extracted (PE) basis function is employed to reduce the required number of unknowns in the large and smooth sub-domain. (II) A reverse operation self-consistent evaluation (ROSE) presents a novel way to implement the Robin transmission condition, which is an attractive alternative to the traditional union mesh technique. We show that the benefit of the the application of ROSE is to redue the burden of Gaussian quadrature on the union mesh. Several numerical case studies will be presented to validate the efficacy and flexibility of the proposed technique.
