Decision support system for hydro unit commitment

The paper presents the decision support system for hydro unit commitment when making decisions on the basis of one-criterion control is not possible and searching for compromise decision between some criteria is required. The two-criterion control model and models of formalized control objectives based on criteria of operational reliability and operating economy of hydro units in the form of convolutions are proposed. The procedure of convolution searching being the most accurate at describing objectives of hydro unit control for a specific hydropower plant is provided. Variants of hydro unit commitment with different criteria convolutions are also simulated.
