Comparison and choice of measures to improve the reliability of distribution grid companies

The level of distribution network reliability is a fundamental factor in determining the efficiency of Electric Grid Companies. The proposed method and model for calculating the distribution network reliability allow comparison of different electric grids from the reliability standpoint. The paper provides comparison of variable activities aimed at improving failure-free and recoverable network. It proposes an engineering model to calculate technical efficiency of the electric grid companies and to enable a quick, clear and simple determination of the network reliability level depending on its length and indicators of failure-free modes and recoverability.
