On the Uplink Sum Rate of SCMA System With Randomly Deployed Users

We study the average sum rate of uplink sparse code multiple access (SCMA) systems in a regular hexagon cell with uniformly distributed users. The theoretical results demonstrate that SCMA can achieve higher average sum rate than orthogonal frequency division multiple access and so it can be efficiently used in fifth generation wireless networks. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations are applied to validate the accuracy of the theoretical analysis.
