The application of expert system and fuzzy control system in cement grate cooler system

The grate cooler is the main facility of the firing system, which operated mainly to cool and convey cement clinker, and provides hot air to rotary kiln at the same time. This paper analyzes the working principle of the grate cooler system and the main factors that affects the efficiency of the system. Through applying expert system and fuzzy control system in grate cooler, we can control and correct speed and grate chamber pressure of the grate. Thus the speed of the grate cooler is adjusted to control it. The experimental results show that this control method is flexible and reliable.
