Automated test jig for refrigerator PCB performance

This paper includes hardware designing of jig that is used for automated testing. Jig is a customized fixture which is able to hold the Device Under Test (DUT). It is an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) which will be used to check behavior and functionality of refrigerator PCB. Jig is designed using ATmega 16 and the Graphical user interface is provided by LabVIEW. This jig can test the performance of refrigerator PCB in advance to avoid reloading due to defective PCB assembly or Field complain from customer end. This jig will test all high voltage device, all sensors, door Switch, RF lamp and display function. The test procedure includes generating test cases through LABVIEW. These test cases will verify the functionality of various components on PCB and determine the test as pass or fail. These testing results will be used to detect the exact fault location on PCB.
