Automation of soap windscreen washer filling machine with PLC and LabVIEW

This paper is mainly focused on windscreen washer filling machine, which is mostly used in the automotive industry at car assembly filling line. Controlling of this system is based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), which is located near the system. The system uses an Allen Bradley compact logic PLC. This will overcome all the disadvantages of existing windscreen washer filling system as well as increase the performance parameter. A technique of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is presented to monitor and control of PLC on PC through use of Allen Bradley remote I/O communication interface coupled with Open process control(OPC) for process control server/client architecture. The OPC data is then linked to National Instruments (NI) Labview system for monitoring and control. SCADA system is implemented in NI Labview using DSC module.
