New analysis method of accommodated capacity for wind power

While accurate measurement of wind power accommodation capacity is the foundation of wind power planning, power grid operation and dispatching scheduling. Based on the summary of existing wind power accommodated capacity evaluation methods, this paper presents a new method for evaluating wind power accommodated capacity. This method using the theory of production simulation, through 365 days of the starting balance and hourly power balance, reasonable arrangements for pumped storage operation mode, counted whole year accommodated wind power of electricity. Using this method of calculating whole year accommodated wind power of electricity number change in situation of different wind power installed capacity. It can determine a reasonable wind power of installed capacity. This method compared to conventional methods, can greatly improve the accuracy of the ability of wind power accepted, and can be flexibly applied to calculated wind power accommodated capacity in variety of economic performance indicators. Through practical example on a certain province's grid of the Northeast power grid to verify the accuracy of the new method, it has guiding means to power planning and improving wind power accommodated capacity.
