Analog front-end characterization of intradyne coherent receivers using polarization multiplexed laser source

Critical parameters of coherent receivers like frequency response, bandwidth, skew, and gain imbalance can be characterized using a polarization-multiplexed laser source. Robust performance is achieved without any active feedback control of the launching polarization state into the coherent receiver.
