Measurement setup for characterization of a bistatic radar sensor for monitoring particulate matter

Radar technology is capable of remotely sensing particulate matter distributed in air. In this paper a coherent bistatic continuous wave radar sensor operating at 94 GHz is used for the measurement of mass loading and flow rate of a PM
₁₀
-stream. Therefore a new indoor experimental setup for generating the stream was designed and built. We provide measurement results and discuss further improvement factors.
