Relocation of resources in road transportation based on the use of data from the GPS based systems

The data about routes of ambulances in period of extensive number of days, extracted from the database connected to GPS system, are used in the calculations of coordinates related to the locations where these vehicles should be parked during ,,waiting for call” time. The mathematic problem known as ;;p-median” is resolved by apropriate algorithm implemanted in three steps. Defined optimisation method is tested and implemnted on site. In addition to the description of the implemented system for relocation of resources in road traffic, certain side effects of the project are analyzed. Focus of attention was drawn to the importance of the project as an example of the innovative entrepreneurship.
