The Jini architecture: dynamic services in a flexible network

This paper gives an overview of the Jini architecture, which provides a federated infrastructure for dynamic services in a network. Services may be large or small. Services are defined by one or more Java language interfaces or classes. These types define a contract with the clients of the service.
