A fast grid-based clustering algorithm for range/Doppler/DoA measurements

For the task of target recognition and classification, radar systems with high resolution, i.e. micro-range and micro-Doppler systems, are used. Nowadays they can be constructed fairly easy with commercially available components. Due to the high resolution, a single target causes several detections. A suitable clustering algorithm which is accurate and computationally fast is necessary to combine these detections. In this paper, we present a grid-based clustering algorithm, which directly utilizes the gridded result of a three-dimensional fast Fourier transform.
