Electric circuit model for simulating ferroelectrets with open-tubular channels

Equivalent electric circuits are regularly employed in piezoelectric system modeling to study and evaluate electromechanical behaviors. For instance, electric circuit models have been developed to simulate piezoelectricity in lead zirconate titanate ceramics (PZT) and polyvinylidene difluoride films (PVDF). In this contribution, an equivalent electric circuit is presented to simulate the electromechanical behavior of ferroelectrets with open tubular channels. The electric circuit parameters were obtained from experimental measurements and simulation was carried out with Pspice. The results were compared with a previous model developed to simulate curved PVDF transducers and significant improvement at lower frequencies was observed with the proposed model.
