Indoor and outdoor measurements of the low frequency magnetic fields in an urban area

The paper mainly deals with the assessment of the general public exposure to low frequency magnetic fields in a complex urban area of the Iasi city, Romania. More than 150 measurements have been taken indoor, in three apartments, and outdoor, at 23 locations in the vicinity of a power substation and along a street route. All measured exposure levels, also including those recorded in the proximity of a number of household appliances, are well below the ICNIRP reference level.
