Stochastic response surface method addressing correlated wind power for probabilistic evaluation of voltage stability

This paper presents a probabilistic evaluation method to analyze the impact of uncertain system parameters to static voltage stability. A probabilistic evaluation of voltage stability model is formulated, and solved by stochastic response surface method (SRSM). The impact of uncertain variables is addressed by the probabilistic analysis with the SRSM combined with deterministic optimization. The problem of probabilistic evaluation is transformed into deterministic nonlinear programming problem by SRSM, and interior point method is applied to solve the nonlinear programming. Considering parallel computing with coarse-grain spaces feature of SRSM, probabilistic evaluation of voltage stability based on SRSM is solved by multi-core parallel computing technique in order to increase efficiency. Case studies of the IEEE-118, IEEE-300 bus system and a 1047 bus real system are presented. Extensive numerical simulations have shown that the proposed method requires less computation and keeps high accuracy. And the efficiency of SRSM is improved through multi-core parallel computing.
