Examinations of radar reflections from rains near ground surface

The results of experimental study of the Doppler spectra for radar reflections from moderate rains in mm band of electromagnetic waves near ground surface are presented. The Doppler spectra were examined using the measuring radar device based upon the coherent receive-transmit semiconductor module. Bartlett's periodograms for spectral power density were considered for visual information on Doppler spectra. The main numerical spectral characteristics (the centre frequency and the effective spectral width of the Doppler spectrum) of radar reflections from rains were calculated and analyzed as well.
