On-Chip Optical Sampling using an Integrated SOA-based Nonlinear Optical Loop Mirror

we report the first demonstration of on-chip optical sampling using an integrated SOA-based nonlinear optical loop mirror. The device implements a compact design featuring a size of 2 x 1.2 mm2 and a sampling window of 30 ps.
