Design of instant digital Signage System based on smartphone

In current DSS (Digital Signage System) of either stand-alone type or server type, content change or update and display may not be quickly handled. In this paper, we propose a design of smartphone-based instant digital signage system which supports quick content change and update on the spot by smart phones in addition to the conventional central content management. Several design issues occurred in making content management by both smartphone and server to be unified and consistent are discussed and clarified.
