Relative Size Reduction Technique to design miniaturized UWB antennas

This paper investigates a technique to design small size UWB antennas. The technique is named as Relative Size Reduction Technique (RSRT). The technique has been applied to three reference antennas, and it is observed that maximum reduction of about 53% in the antenna size is achieved without significant deterioration in antenna radiation properties. It is also shown that this technique works equally well for band notched UWB antenna. The proposed technique is suitable for application in future miniaturized devices.
