Onshore access to offshore field information is critical for making safe and economical operational decisions. Disorganized collation of information can be a significant impediment to full situational understanding and can be time consuming for decision makers. Sifting through disparate sources of public Meteorological and Oceanographic (MetOcean) data; maintaining email correspondence with various offshore project members; reviewing Daily Progress Reports with stale vessel information; awaiting screen shots of ROV footage to be transmitted; all these important activities cause delays to having an updated, comprehensive awareness of the project status, asset position, or environmental conditions.
