Phase dependent high-harmonics and terahertz-wave spectroscopy (HATS) from aligned carbon dioxide

Synchronizing high-harmonics and terahertz-wave spectroscopy (HATS) has been demonstrated as an efficient approach in revealing the information of molecular structure and the underlying electron dynamics. We further investigate the alignment dependent HATS from carbon dioxide at different dual-color relative phases (DRP). We find that the alignment dependence of terahertz generation dose not vary with DRP, while the alignment dependence of even harmonics, evolves strongly with DRP, indicating dynamic phases from different quantum paths of harmonic generation process come into play. The alignment dependent dynamic phase retrieved from HATS might be used to characterize the structure and phase shift of molecular electron continuum.
