Guided wave generation and source energy partition in acoustic fluid with an immersed elastic plate

The present work is a continuation of our DD'15 contribution, where an analytically based computer model for the coupled time-harmonic oscillation generated by a given source in acoustic fluid with an immersed elastic plate has been developed and tested against the known results of other authors. The Green's function for the system considered has been explicitly derived in terms of inverse Fourier transform integrals for the general 3D case of an arbitrarily laminated anisotropic plate. The far-field asymptotics of the bulk and guided waves excited by the source have been derived from those path integrals. On this basis, a comparative study of the guided wave characteristics and source energy radiation and partition among the excited waves have been performed. The present paper gives numerical examples for several typical source-fluid-plate structures distinguished by sound velocity in the environment and material properties of the plate.
