Position control system of a PMDC motor

In the present paper, a PC based position control system of a PMDC motor has been designed by utilizing MATLAB based PID controller and Data Acquisition System, in order to control the process variable to achieve the most efficient control in the plant operation. The final calibration data of angular position of PMDC motor are reported in the paper, which reveal the linearity and reliability of the control system.
