Identifying hot socket problem in smart meters

Smart meters play an important role in distribution system for both customers and utilities. The hot socket problem has recently become a safety issue for smart meters. This paper proposes a method to extract information from massive data and verifies the method by proper prediction model. The case study shows that the method and the model have good performance.
