Metal-insulator-metal waveguides for spoof plasmon

Guide spoof plasmon in the metal-insulator-metal (MIM) structure with subwavelength corrugation on the metal surface have been analyzed and investigated using the FDTD method. The dispersion relation of spoof plasmon in MIM structure is analyzed. The dependence of the band diagrams on the structures parameters of the grooves has been investigated. This spoof plasmon waveguide have more design geometrical freedom compared to the normal surface plasmon mode in the MIM structure. We can easy dynamically changing the group velocity by adjusting the grooves gap, creating a tunable delay line.
