Converter transformer resonant frequencies: measurements and prediction equations

The authors report studies carried out to analyze the first resonant frequencies (natural frequencies) of converter and substation transformers. Many conditions are represented: single- and three-phase transformers, different core designs, high-voltage and low-voltage windings, and different winding types. Prediction equations based on the measurement data are reported and discussed.<
