Application of steepest descent smoothing and de-meshing techniques in h-version adaptive FEMs

This paper describes the application of combining steepest descent smoothing, swappings and de-meshing techniques to bound the worst mesh quality in the h-version adaptive mesh refinement process. Numerical results include a microstrip patch antenna and a microstrip meander line and show the the effectiveness of the current approach.
