F-16 Avionics maintenance concept and multinational aspects

The background of the F-16 program is presented, highlighted with a discussion of the multinational aspects of the procurement. After a general pre sentation of the aircraft itself, the reader is introduced to the three level avionics maintenance concept, and the iterative process by which it was tailored to the F-16 Weapons System. The depth of maintenance performed at each level is explained, along with the type of approach used.
