IEEE standard 416 (atlas): progress report

The purpose of this abstract is to briefly describe the purpose and background of IEEE Standard 416 (ATLAS) in order to complement the Progress Report presented at AUTOTESTCON 178. In addi tion, the structure of the IEEE ATLAS Committee is described so that readers understand how the language standard is maintained and improved.
