Future communication services in the automotive industry

The complexity of today's industrial application software, and the distributed nature of those industries is placing an increasing demand on both local and wide area networks. Because of this it is essential that we investigate and specify the network service requirements of such industries, to ensure that the evolving broadband networks will meet their needs. This paper summarises and describes the service requirements of the automotive industry as identifled by RACE project CAR.
