Programmable signal processor - an ASIC

Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC's) for digital signal processing applications, are available from several manufactures. However, the fundamental operation of convolution has been neglected for multiple channels and/ or for data lengths greater than 8 bits. This paper describes the architecture of a programmable multichannel convolution ASIC designed and fabricated with 2 micron CMOS technology.
