A 1.5 V 1.0 mW audio /spl Delta//spl Sigma/ modulator with 98 dB dynamic range

This audio-quality switched-capacitor (SC) /spl Delta//spl Sigma/ modulator operates from a single 1.5 V supply and dissipates 1.0 mW. When clocked at 2.82 MHz, it achieves 98.2 dB dynamic range (DR) in a 20 kHz bandwidth. The peak SNR and SNDR are 90 dB and 88 dB, respectively. The fully-differential experimental circuit has been integrated in a 0.5 /spl mu/m triple-metal single-poly CMOS n-well process with metal-to-poly capacitors.
