Optical optimization of organic solar cells based on azaheterocyclic group

In this paper, the optical optimization solar cells are presented. The subject of analysis are organic solar cells with bulk heterojunction built from the mixture of polythiophene and luminophore from the azaheterocyclic group. The goal of analysis is optimization of separate layers thickness in an organic photovoltaic cell from the viewpoint of their efficiency. In calculations the optical transfer matrix 2×2 formalism was used. We present the normalized modulus squared of the optical electric fields distribution inside devices and the distributions of exciton generation rate as well as influence of active layer thickness on surface density of the generated excitons. The influence of antireflection coating are either take into consideration. Perpendicular and oblique illumination of the photovoltaic structure is discussed.
