Removing Seismometer Effects Using Inverse Filtering Techniques

This paper summarizes the results of using inverse filtering techniques to remove seismometer effects from data which had been distorted and split into separate com ponents by analog filters. A digital frequency sampling filter scheme was used to design the inverse filter. In this scheme a number of small elemental filters were summed Special care had to be taken in the design of the inverse filter since components sampled at different frequencies were recombined to form the new composite signal.
